First off, here is Little Margaux:
Can you tell the difference between the drawing and the picture? Don’t worry, I couldn’t either. Man, I was a great drawer in kindergarten.
As I was going through my stuff at home in Delaware before moving out to California last month, I found a lot of stuff that my parents had saved from when I was in kindergarten. One project was a book that had drawings from everyone in my class. Here is a sampling of those drawings. Note the running theme here:
Apparently Goldie and Scaredy Cat were quite popular with my fellow kindergarteners. Either that or I was just so boring that all they could think of was my fish. I can definitely imagine Little Margaux going on and on about pets that she didn’t even get to play with. What a strange child. At least Taylor M. knew that I had other interests!
In other news, apparently Jake T. and Jake C. had very different ideas of where our friendship was headed:
Unfortunately, I don’t think Jake C. ever got to fulfill his dream of riding in a minivan with me, but there’s still hope for the future.
